Photographer & Digital Marketer for Small, Personal Moroccan Surf Camp
Work exchangeSurf schools Tamraght Oufella, Tamraght, Morocco
I run a small surf camp that offers unique and bespoke surf holiday experiences. My surf camp offers a variety of holiday packages and retreats, and I am looking for a photographer to take pictures so guests have momentos of their experiences as well as having content for social media and marketing. I am looking for a live-in photographer that can also provide minor house hold duties, such as tidying up after meals, sitting with guests during meals, and assisting in taking pictures and managing social media content. In exchange I would be able to provide free accommodation, occasional meals when guests are having meals, and occasional surf lessons (guaranteed when guests are present and receiving surfing lessons). I would be happy to connect you to the local surfing and yoga community in case there are other opportunities for you to find some freelance work elsewhere during your stay. Length of stay is flexible, we ask for a minimum 2 week commitment. This can be seen as a trial period: if you're not digging our vibe, please don't be afraid to say so! We want to ensure everybody is happy with this work exchange relationship.
Skills we are looking for
Please inquire even if you feel like you don't meet all the requirements! I am more looking for a socialable person who is independent and open to learning and gaining experience than someone who ticks all the boxes perfectly.
What are the job details
The surf camp is small and personal. You will most likely be living with guests, so even though you are not technically "working" you may find yourself conversing with guests throughout the day. Potentially we have guests 7 days a week, and we ask that you be available during those days. The work time committment can be from 1-5 hours daily depending on the number of guests staying with us and what is required.
English is the preferred language to work in, but it doesn't have to be your first language. French and Arabic languages are useful during yoru stay in Morocco. All other languages are always a help, but not essential.
What's in it for you
Water is not drinkable from the tap. We provide a courtesy bottle on arrival, however, you are required to buy your own bottled water from local shops.
